Research - Guerrilla Funding

From Guerrilla Funding by Paul H. Smith, IRVA President:
Opinion polls regularly show that a large majority of the populace continues to recognize the reality of ESP and other of what we have come to call 'paranormal' phenomena. The smaller minority who don't believe in these things include many in the intellectual elite - the scientists and skeptics who make up today's Old Guard. They are the ones who hold the purse strings. As long as we must rely on them to open up those purses before we can do more real research into non-local consciousness, that research will never be done!

Read how IRVA is moving to make an end run around the Old Guard - with Guerrilla Funding.

Investigating paranormal phenomena: Functional brain imaging of telepathy

Dean Radin has posted a copy of the Indian study "Investigating paranormal phenomena: Functional brain imaging of telepathy." According to Dean "With this new study, there are now four published psi studies using fMRI technology. Three of the four found significant areas of brain specialization correlated with psi performance."

Dean Radin: The Global Consciousness Project

Dean Radin: The Global Consciousness Project

Laboratory scientist Dean Radin describes an experiment testing the relationship between mind and matter. In this experiment, random number generators are used to test whether collective human attention corresponds to a change in the physical environment.

"Science and the taboo of psi" with Dean Radin

Dean Radin video presentation January 15th, 2008 -

"Do telepathy, clairvoyance and other "psi" abilities exist? The majority of the general population believes that they do, and yet fewer than one percent of mainstream academic institutions have any faculty known for their interest in these frequently reported experiences. Why is a topic of enduring and widespread interest met with such resounding silence in academia? The answer is not due to a lack of scientific evidence, or even to a lack of scientific interest, but rather involves a taboo. I will discuss the nature of this taboo, some of the empirical evidence and critical responses, and speculate on the implications."

Dean Radin, Jerome Stone, Ellen Levine, Shahram Eskandarnejad, Marilyn Schlitz, Leila Kozak, Dorothy Mandel and Gail Hayssen

Objective: This double-blind study investigated the effects of intention on the autonomic nervous system of a human “sender” and distant “receiver” of those intentions, and it explored the roles that motivation and training might have in modulating these effects.

George McMullen

George McMullen died last night in the hospital where he had been for some days. His family was with him, and they wish to thank the remote viewing community for their prayers and good wishes. He will be missed.

Remote Viewing Targets

Daz Smith has a selection of remote viewing targets available on his website - great for blind and privately monitored viewing for the shy and the voracious viewer who can't get enough target practice. Remote Viewing Target Monkey

What do the healer, the mystic, the psychic, and the spy all have in common? According to physicist and author Russell Targ, they are all in touch with the nonlocal mind-the ability to transcend time and space. In this workshop, we practice and experience a range of psychic abilities, including extrasensory perception, precognition, intuitive diagnosis, distance healing, and remote viewing. We learn how to recognize actual psychic signals and separate them from the mental noise of memory, imagination, and analysis.

We also explore the real X-files and the spiritual implications of psychic abilities, drawing on the mystical Hindu teachings of Patanjali and the Tibetan dzogchen dharma masters.

Recommended reading: Targ and Houston, Limitless Mind and Targ and Hurtak, The End of Suffering.

A pioneer in the development of the laser and laser applications, Russell Targ was a cofounder of the previously secret investigations into psychic abilities by the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) in the 1970s and 1980s. Supported by the CIA and many other government organizations, SRI scientifically researched a range of psychic skills, particularly remote viewing, the ability to experience and describe distant events unavailable to ordinary perception. He has written extensively on remote viewing, including his book, Limitless Mind.

Asymetric Language Trend Analysis

If you haven't found these fellows yet, do yourself a favor and take a good look. That can only be done by subscribing to the reports they offer. I've been subscribing for a year - my conclusion is that the reports are amazingly accurate.

With so many changes coming at us so fast and furiously I've enjoyed the added perspective the reports offer.

Their description of what they do:
Here at Half Past Human we forecast the future.

We are not alone in forecasting the future, all humans do it to some degree. Just a quick search of the internet will provide dozens of forms of future forecasting. Some use astrology, some use other methods.

We employ a technique based on radical linguistics to reduce extracts from readings of dynamic postings on the internet into an archetypical database. With this database of archtypical language, we calculate the rate of change of the language. The forecasts of the future are derived from these calculations. Our calculations are based on a system of associations between words and numeric values for emotional responses from those words. These 'emotional impact indicators' are also of our own devising. They are attached to a data base of over 300/three hundred thousand words. This data base of linked words/phrases and emotions is our lexicon from which the future forecasting is derived.

We call our future viewing the ALTA reports for 'asymetric language trend analysis'. The ALTA reports are available by subscription.

Paranormal Early Warning System?

The Arlington Institute, a non-profit think tank specialising in predictive modelling of future events, hopes to utilise paranormal powers to provide an early warning of impending disasters or other critical events, such as acts of terrorism.

Parapsychology and the Skeptics author examines how the Skeptical community and magazines like the Skeptical Inquirer deal with scientific evidence for psi, telepathy and ESP.

Project STARGATE's transcendent effects surfacing now?

Project STARGATE's transcendent effects surfacing now?

More than 30 years after elements of the U.S. military and intelligence community began research into unusual "psychic" projects being conducted by the government of the former Soviet Union, we may be seeing interesting results emerging.

When looking at anomalous phenomena like the ESP "remote viewing" techniques developed and used by U.S. military and intelligence personnel (later called "Project STARGATE") as well as other unusual developments, it can be useful to consider that in 2008 the unconventional can be integrated with conventional thinking and human activities.
